What are the consequences of corneal foreign body escape? Foreign bodies such as dust and iron scar can cause epithelial abrasion and become buried in the cornea. In this case, the patient suffers from severe stinging pain, irritation, redness and photophobia. In these patients, conjunctival fornixes are carefully controlled and the presence of foreign bodies is investigated. If the foreign body is not overburdened, after the local anesthetic drop is dropped, the sterile needle or foreign body is held in the oblique position and scraped off, if possible, under a biomicroscopic view. Prophylactic antibiotic drops are started and the epithelium is covered with eye print as well as healing.
