  4. Nystagmus

It is the involuntary movements that are defined as the rhythmic vibration of the eyes. This rhythmic motion in the eyes is often symmetric when the amplitude (magnitude of oscillation) is evaluated as velocity and direction. Rarely symmetrical. Diagnosis of nystagmus

* Nystagmus with head position near and far decreased or did not rise from the middle

* Whether or not it appeared with a certain gaze position

* Nystagmus and head movement presence are also evaluated. A full eye examination should be performed after the history of the patient is evaluated for nystagmus. Observation of the nystagmus

* Whether or not the nystagmus movement is present in the shape, velocity amplitude side-view, the amplitude in the primary position (straight-through gaze) and the position in the other eye positions should also be assessed.

* Nystagmus with close and far head position decreased or did not rise from the center.

* Nistagmus, with which head position appeared, is also assessed for head movement.

 * A full eye examination should be performed after the history of the patient is evaluated for nystagmus. Treatment of nystagmus The first goal of treatment in nystagmus patients should be to provide proper eyewear and increase visual quality. The child must be placed in the class according to the position of the patient's nystagmus or the position it has left. 1.Ortopic treatment

* PLEOPTIC TREATMENT

* CLOSURE TECHNIQUE

* SHORT TERMINATION TREATMENT

* TREATMENT OF MEDICINE

* KEM TREATMENT 2.Carrhotherapy

* Kastenbaum surgery If the head left-facing eyes are nystagmus in the right view, surgery is performed to bring it to the pirimer position. Nystagmus surgery is done in four cases. The success rate is not as high as in strabismus surgery. Nystagmus may recur after one week to one month after surgery in the patient. It's not about muscles but about the nervous system.
